Treasurer’s Report for March 2007
Warrants
MOTION by Gotts, second by Kirkwood, to approve the Consent Agenda, which includes the Treasurer’s Report for March, 2007 and the Warrants with add-ons.

Item 3: Director’s Report
|
Director Berry reported the following:
Update on Bat Survey and Mist Netting - Director Berry stated Asti Environmental will be overseeing the Bat Survey and Mist Netting some time in May or June.
Discussion on Painting Fire Hydrants – Bids have been submitted and reviewed and it was recommended by Director Berry that the project be awarded to Oakland County to do the painting.
MOTION by Thomas, second by Gotts to award the Fire Hydrant painting project to Oakland County at a cost of $134 per hydrant.
MOTION CARRIED
Director Berry also provided information on the Pontiac Trail Widening Project. Stating the Township Engineers’ recommendation was to award the contract to the low bidder, South Hill Construction Co., at a cost of $1,095,052.22.
MOTION by Zoner, second by Gotts to award the Pontiac Trail Widening Project to South Hill Construction Co., in an amount not to exceed $1,095,052.22., and authorize the appropriate signatures.

Loren Crandell of Giffels Webster stated that their main focus at this time is on Martin Road. They have met with the Road Commission for Oakland County who approved the alignment aside from small issues to be worked out.
|
|
|
Kingstown Manor Condominiums – utilization of some of the HCMA property that was purchased by the DDA and is directly behind their property. A License Agreement between the Commerce Township DDA and Kingstowne Manor would need to be executed.
MOTION by Lublin, second by Zoner to approve the License Agreement between Commerce Township DDA and Kingstown Manor and authorize the appropriate signatures.

Item 6: Planning Director's Update
|
The Planning Director reported that a meeting between the Township and the Road Commission for Oakland County had taken place and was very informative, there is one new tenant in the DDA area whose plan is currently under review, and the PC approved and recommended to the Township Board the rezoning of the Beaumont Property.

Item 7: Tentative Executive Session
|
MOTION by Gotts, second by Thomas to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussion of the acquisition of property.
