Greetings:
Many members of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and those who work at the Township town hall have been approached with questions about the changes occuring in the Commerce area as well as future plans. Many have asked, "What is the plan?" Below is a listing of just a few of the things the DDA hopes to accomplish. We welcome your feedback, comments and questions.

	To develop a core area the entire community can recognize as Commerce
	To provide for a location for a new library and town hall
	Provide new form-based zoning ordinance for the Township to achieve a pleasing format and economically stable building format on major roadways
	To enhance stream quality in the plan area, using flood plain for both active and passive recreational pursuits as well as a water cleansing area
	To provide for extensive landscaping in the 320-340 acre development area between Haggerty and Pontiac Trail
	To extend Martin Road to Pontiac Trail
	To improve Haggerty Road to five lanes
	To improve the intersection of M-5 and Pontiac Trail
	To improve Richardson Road

Welcome to the Commerce Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Web site. We created this site for all citizens and businesses of Commerce Township to keep you informed and give you a vehicle to provide us with your valuable feedback.

The primary goal and objective of the DDA is to promote the long-term economic health and stability of the Township. Our mission is to improve the long-term economic environment and overall vitality of our community for both the citizens and businesses in the area.
